Zachtjes in de donzige dekens,
Wou ik dat ik tegenover je lag.
Dat je in mijn ziel kon kijken,
De liefde en pijn in mijn ogen zag.
Dat je de pijn kon wegnemen,
Met je strelen het verlichten.
Dat je me onder je betovering hield,
En me voor jou liefde doet zwichten.
Neem me mee naar verre landen,
Vol van dromen, ongekend.
Laat me daar verdwalen,
Want aan je liefde blijf ik eeuwig gewend.
This ain’t goodbye…..
who are you
I am Alexander Pollenus, a boy with the age of 21 in the army.
I was born in Genk on November the first 1990. The first child of Ronny and Monique.
At the time we lived in Stokkem on the Botermarkt. A little later we moved to Bocholt. We lived there for about a year or two and in this period my little brother was born on September the 29th.
Not long after that we moved back to Dilsen but this time on the Borreshoefstraat. My sister was born at home on December the 17th.
Al this time we had a dog named Laska who ran away from our last adres. Probably someone with a nice steak lured him in and kept him.
I did kindergarten in Stokkem.
My sister was only a few months old when we moved to our next adres, the one my parents, brother and sister are still living.
At the age of 4 I started doing ballet. I kept doing it until I was 16.
Primary school made some changes in my life. New school, new friends, new hobbies. I started playing soccer and play the piano. Meanwhile I went on with ballet. Soccer was only for a year. It was rather boring.
My secondary school I started in Antwerp at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp.
I went there for 4 years and with the change of my futuristic views I changed school, did human sciences and went to the university to try History as subject. This one failed and so I started working for real.
I started working as a student when I was 15. Serving in chique restaurants, working in french fries bars,… My first real job was in logistics. After Doing my tests for the military I joined them and that’s what I do now.
Because of family issues I left my parents at the age of 19, went living with a girl but it ended soon so I ended up living at my grandma’s place.
During the years I met lots of people, made lots of friends and mistakes but learned a lot of things. Every thing made me the way I am right now. I kept out lovestories or family issues to keep it a little short.

what you think about your friends
I think I’m glad having the few who never gave up on me. They’re all amazing people with their own values. I love them for who I am because of them.
